SPACE
Innovatively designed by David Rockwell and His Rockwell Group, Lollipop begins the journey from the street to this grown-up candy-land and begins, as do many dream-like journeys, with a descent into a tunnel. En route to the bar, guests are enveloped by a passageway of cream-colored alligator leather. Small portals offer a glimpse onto swirls and sugarplums featured in bonbon-inspired artwork.

A digital installation greets you at the entrance produced by Ed Tannenbaum, one of the most renowned computer imaging artists. An ingenious video camera system captures and projects seductive silhouettes of real-time customers in motion as they walk in the vestibule gallery. Tannenbaum's brilliant installations are displayed in the most famous museums and by the U.S. Education Department in schools and universities around the globe.

Upon arrival at the main space, guests step into nighttime candy-coated universe: surfaces are glossy, ceilings and seating are low, and the atmosphere is electric.

Saturated reds, oranges, pinks, and purples tint transparent resins and magenta edge lit acrylic. The candy hues are also translated into more tactile materials of red crocodile leather, mosaic glass, and backlit onyx. The space features striking intersections of technology and design: a reflective black vinyl ceiling amplifies glowing red crocodile paneled walls, orange light boxes created by artist Michael Palladino add to the sensuality of the space inspiring one to dream of sensual lips in curls. The ceiling is a sky of candy colored lollipops made of LED lights, interconnected by a computer to the DJ sound system and music equalizer. The bar is a brilliant candy bar with an extra thick red acrylic countertop that glows a beautiful warm light reflected by a base of red mirror. More lollipops are visible, floating in the yellow onyx material of the bar and back bar. These pops are carved into the marble allowing the light to penetrate more freely through the lollipop shapes. A flat screen display hangs high above the bar projecting a 3D image of a mirror ball constantly spinning.
